There are many ways you can contribute to making our community a welcoming destination for visitors. If you’re passionate about any of the areas below, we’d love for you to get involved

HOW YOU CAN HELP
We have several subcommittees working hard to prepare for the upcoming event, and we’re looking for volunteers who are eager to lend a hand. If you have an interest in any of the following areas, we want to hear from you!
RESTAURANT / FOOD
Help manage food services and support local restaurants.
HOSPITALITY
Ensure visitors feel welcome and have a positive experience.
RECREATION
Assist in organizing recreational activities for all ages.
ENTERTAINMENT
Support community events and activities that celebrate the global event.
HOUSING & BEAUTIFICATION
Help with housing coordination, beautification efforts, and Airbnb management.
WELCOME COMMITTEE
Be the first face visitors see as they arrive in Lee’s Summit.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Contribute to infrastructure improvement efforts to accommodate the influx of visitors.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Help ensure the safety and security of all attendees.
TRANSPORTATION
Assist with traffic flow and shuttle services for visitors.
Legal Issues & OrdinanceS
Work on relaxed ordinances and ensure smooth legal processes.
MARKETING
Help with all marketing efforts leading up to and during the event.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
important meeting dates
As part of your involvement, volunteers are expected to attend the large committee work meetings to stay updated on event preparations and ensure a coordinated effort across all subcommittees. These meetings are crucial for organizing and managing the activities in the lead-up to the event.
- August 21 - Team Leads
- August 28 - All Stakeholders
- October 16 - Team Leads
- October 23 - All Stakeholders
- December 11 - Holiday Meeting
- Begin monthly in January 2026
